got a call earlier from a guy named Tony, but his accent and the name felt off, so I was careful. he actually knew my name and where i live, claiming he was from my insurance firm and that my washing machine coverage was about to end. i told him my hubby deals with that stuff, then somehow managed to hang up on him.

Had a call from 01273 091591 on the 7th of May, sounded like a classic scam. A woman was on about my washing machine’s warranty running out. I wasn’t in the mood to listen, so I cut her off asking where she got that info from. She claimed it came straight from the manufacturer. I told her either they’re feeding her rubbish or she’s just making it up herself. Ended up just hanging up on her.

Got a call a bit ago from a woman claiming to be with Sky Protection Services. She somehow already had my name, which felt a bit off, so I just hung up straight away.

I got a call from someone saying they were from an insurance outfit trying to renew my washing machine cover. Thing is, I’ve never taken out that insurance. They said a payment of £99 was made last year on a Barclaycard debit, but I don’t have either the insurance or a Barclaycard to begin with. Bit suspicious if you ask me!

Some bloke called saying he was from an ‘insurance firm’. When I asked which one, he quickly replied ‘Premier Protect’ and claimed it was about my washing machine cover running out. Thing is, 1) we never get cover from dodgy insurance firms I've never come across before, and 2) I knew for sure the machine wasn’t covered! We’d only just bought a new one because the old one was completely knackered. Pretty clear it was a con, so I gave them a right earful and told them where to go.

I just got a call from this number saying my washing machine warranty was up. The woman on the line couldn’t even tell me the brand or serial number of the machine. Completely feels like a scam to me. I told her I knew it was a scam and to not call me again, but I don’t reckon it’ll stop them.

Just got a call from a woman with an accent, saying my washing machine insurance had run out. I told her I wasn’t looking to renew or get any new insurance. She kept pushing, trying to convince me, even threw in some kind of discount. Wouldn’t say which company she was with, but somehow had my number and even called me by my first name! I kept saying no and then ended up hanging up.
