A few days back, I received a call from this number, and the lady on the other end claimed she was from Sky Protect. She was promoting some fantastic deal that included a shiny new, high-speed broadband connection. At first, I was intrigued because it sounded rather enticing. However, when she quoted me the price, it seemed far too good to be true! My instincts kicked in, prompting me to turn down the offer. Thank goodness I did! I later discovered that the number in question isn't even associated with Sky and is part of a scam.

some bloke with an asian accent rang my elderly mums place (i was the one who picked up) and mentioned my mums name, going on about some washing machine insurance that doesnt even exist. he gave a reference number too. when i told him to take my number off his list and asked for his company's details, he went proper foul, calling me daft and asking if i'd lost my mind. he ended up slamming the phone down when he saw i wasn't biting - still calling me thick on the way out!

Got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, telling me my skybox insurance was up for renewal. I asked if it really was, and she went on about how much I paid before. Thing is, I’ve never even had insurance for my skybox, so I knew right away this was dodgy. I asked her if she thought she was clever, and she dropped some language I’d rather not get into.

about 2 months back i got a call from someone claiming to be with sky protect, which we actually have, saying they wanted to discuss our renewal. they tried to push a special deal if we signed up for 3 years straight away. i told them our renewal wasnt due yet. later, we got proper renewal papers from sky, and there was no hint of that special offer - sky said its not real. today, she called again asking about renewal and repeated the same offer. quite suspicious if you ask me.
