All the time, usually around 8 or 9 at night, they keep calling asking for the main person of the house. When I say I have no idea who they’re talking about, they start getting rude and ask who I am instead. Now, I just block the calls since they always come from similar numbers with just a few digits changed.

01272 caller didnt speak to me directly, just caught background noise of loads of people and busy call centre sounds. They seemed really swamped. I ended the call straight away. Later discovered this isn’t a legit business number. Stay clear.

Got a call from 01272 852504 a couple times within half an hour, but no one said anything when I picked up. Looked up the 01272 area code and turns out it’s not even a proper dialling code. Strange!

Got a call from 01272 285308 sayin £600 was spent overseas on my mastercard. Rang my bank straight away and they said it’s just a scam. Beware this 01272 number, it’s dodgy.

O1272521930 rang me with a robocall claiming to be from Visa/Mastercard fraud team, saying there was a transaction of £600 on my card overseas..! Problem is, I dont even own a credit card!

01272 120880 rang me but when i picked up the call just went dead. I looked up the code on this site and think its another dodgy Amazon scam. Ive already blocked loads of their numbers cos they keep telling me my fake prime membership is due to auto renew. Total scam, watch out!

Got a call from 01272 309667 with an automated voice telling me my Amazon Prime membership was about to renew for £79.99, but I could talk to a supervisor if I pressed 1. Obviously a scam since I already paid up. Tried calling back that number and it just said the number wasn’t valid.

Got a call from 01272336756 saying they were from Sky and wanted to check if my internet was alright. When I asked how far up in the sky they were, cos their voice sounded really distant, they just went quiet.

Got a call from 01272 saying my Amazon account was expired. As soon as I heard that, I just ended the call and reported the number to BT’s 1572 Protect service. Any more calls from them are going straight to junk! If you have the slightest suspicion about a call, the best bet is to just hang up.

Got a call from 01272 790375, some robot pretending to be Amazon Prime saying my subscription will renew automatically. They said to press 1 to stop it, but don’t press anything! I’ve been getting loads of these calls all at once recently. Honestly, never answer or respond to these. If you’re unsure about anything, just call the company direct using the number on their official site. Be careful out there!

Got a robo call this morning at 08:46 from 01272 795782 saying something like "you've been charged 74.99 from your bank for amazon prime, enjoy the services or press 1 to cancel or unsubscribe." Just a heads up, the police have said this is a scam so don’t press 1 or anything!

Got a voicemail from 01272863400, some lady with a really strong foreign accent that was tough to make out. She kept going on about insurance and some payments not done or something like that. Told me to ring them back on that number. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Got a call from 01272 746 459 today (11/12/19), someone pretending to be from HMRC ringing an elderly family member. Luckily, she was sharp enough to hang up and then ring me straight away. When I checked with HMRC, they confirmed it was a scam. I then asked them what actions they were taking, like police involvement or investigations, but the only thing they mentioned was warnings on their website about these scams. Felt like they weren’t doing much to stop it! Honestly, it seems like the scammers have free rein to carry on with this nonsense!!!!!!

Over the past year I've gotten quite a few calls, mostly from people with strong accents. But today's caller was different - a man who spoke very clearly, no accent at all. At first I thought it might be a mate messing about with me. Things changed when he started talking about BT and broadband stuff, so I just ended the call. I did jot down the number though and ended up reporting it to BT straight after.

For nearly five weeks now, I’ve been getting calls daily from this number, always between 10:30 and noon. An Indian guy with a strong accent keeps telling me I need to respond or BT will disconnect my internet. It’s so frustrating!
When I pressed him about where the BT office was, he kept stuttering something about London. His English was really bad, and when I asked more questions, the line went dead. Suspicious as hell.

01272 225724 - got a call from a woman with a really strong Indian accent saying she's from BT's legal team about issues with our broadband. Thing is, we don’t even have BT broadband. Earlier today, a different number giving the same spiel rang us too.

Got a call yesterday from 01272374684, they said they were from BT but called my wife “madam” which was a bit odd. They mentioned our internet had been cutting out, so my wife handed the phone to me. I asked why they were asking if they already knew about it, then they just dropped the call. They rang again today but I didn’t pick up. Definitely a SCAM, they’re trying to start a chat before likely asking to access your computer. Marked as dodgy for sure.

These dodgy people are clearly faking the 01272 prefix with different endings, so watch out folks. When are the authorities gonna crack down on these muppets and hit them with big fines to shut them down?

Got a call from 01272 509149 claiming to be BT Openreach. The person on the other end spoke with an Indian accent and the connection was really bad. They said they needed to run a broadband speed test from my computer, not a phone. As soon as I started asking questions, the caller just cut off the call.

Got a call from 01272 341535 the other day. Some bloke with a strong Indian accent said he was from BT, claiming there were issues with my internet and he was checking the exchange. He asked me to switch on my laptop so he could run some tests. I told him I was suspicious and insisted that if it was legit, BT should send me a letter outlining what’s going on. I’ve since reported this number to BT so they can look into it.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent saying she was from TalkTalk, talking about issues with my internet (yeah right). The number started with 01272 which looks like a UK area code but actually isnt used here - after looking it up, it seems to be linked to some phone company in Vietnam. Definitely a scam to watch out for.

Got a call from some automated message saying it was Talk Talk. They warned my internet would get cut off and that they’d send me a new router because my pc was apparently hacked and sending out bad files. Then some woman with an Indian accent said she was from tech support and asked me to change stuff on my computer. Didn’t trust it so I just ended the call.
