Somebody called saying they were from o2, trying to sell me an iPhone 13 Pro Max with unlimited stuff for £40 a month. I said I was interested, then they passed me onto a different lady who tried to get into my o2 account. She asked me for my security code from a text message, even though the text clearly says not to share it with anyone claiming to be from o2. It was so funny! I told them to just email me the offer and I’d check it out on my own, then they just ended the call.

Carphone Warehouse - Scam Alert Yesterday I got a call from the number "01270311026" which said it was from Leeds, offering a deal. I ended the call, but then today the same number rang again, this time saying they were in Barnstaple. They claimed they’d give me £35.99 as a one-off for unlimited calls and texts over the next 2 years. I pretended to go along with it and fed them fake details to see what info they were after. They asked for stuff like: - My full name - Date of birth - Address - Whether I rent or own my place - My job - Sort code - Bank account number - The long card number on the front of my card They also promised some item would be delivered straight to my doorstep. Honestly, I don’t get how anyone falls for this - it’s so poor and obvious as a con.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 saying I could get half off my recent bill. They said they’d send me a text with a link and a code for the discount. Right after, I received a message from O2 warning that it was a scam and to just ignore it. Definitely a dodgy one!

Yeah it was really hard to catch what they were saying, sounded a bit like "phonehouse" or maybe "housephone" or something when I asked them to say it again, I just hung up after that. I checked it out afterwards and it matches what I thought. Thanks for the info. Looks like from what others said they can’t really imitate proper companies well. When will they actually do something about these callers?

Got a call from this number but as soon as I picked up, the line just went dead. Sounds a bit like one of those dodgy robo calls to me. I rang them back and some automated voice came on talking about a telecom company I'd never come across before, couldn’t really make out the exact name. The message asked me to press 1 to talk to customer support and gave an email address ending in @gmail.com which is a bit of a red flag in my book. Tried searching the number online but nothing came up, so I reckon this might be a scam or some fake outfit using this number.
