I missed a call from this number and when I rang back, it came up as a withheld number. To my surprise, I received an automated message stating that the number isn’t in service. I’ve now reported it and added it to my block list.

Couldn’t even get a proper word in before the call cut to some robotic voice telling me I had to do something immediately or else there’d be “serious consequences” 🙄 total rubbish.

Someone rang me up saying I owed money and if I didn’t pay right away, I’d get taken to court. They said I could sort the payment on the phone immediately or else I’d have to pay an extra 10% later on. When I asked them for an address or somewhere I could go to pay in person, they got really dodgy and wouldn’t really say, then just cut the call.

So I first got a call from 07394 172112, and the person on the other end kept saying "ma'am," which I reckon is a sign of a dodgy overseas call centre. The signal was awful, so I just ended the call. Then, less than half a minute later, the same voice rang me again but from 01271 522005, asking about my monthly bill satisfaction. When I asked why they were ringing me, they just cut off. Pretty pushy and annoying - most likely a telemarketer or some sort of scam!

The caller said they were from CPW, offering me an upgrade, but CPW isn’t around anymore since Currys took over. Plus, they don’t deal with EE anymore, so they just wanted me to switch to a different network by pretending it was an upgrade. Felt like a bit of a scam honestly.

The person on the other end didn’t really say much about who they were, just mentioned something like ‘Curry’s Mobile’ which I’ve never heard of before.
