I had a phone call on the 3rd of September, 2019; the caller asked for my wife specifically. They claimed to be conducting a survey in our locality. I informed them that we weren’t keen on participating and hung up. It’s quite bothersome how frequently these sorts of calls occur. I can’t fathom how they managed to obtain our name and number, especially as we’re ex-directory. It's rather unsettling, to be honest.

I received a call inquiring about whether we’re insured in case we need to enter a care facility. They also mentioned that the local council might force us to sell our property to pay the expenses. Quite frustrating, as they ended the conversation abruptly!

I keep getting calls from this number during the early hours and on weekends, and it’s really quite annoying. It’s like being forced to listen to hold music, as if I’m waiting for someone to pick up. I suspect it might be one of those dodgy scams that hit you with a charge if you pick up or try to call back. Despite being on the TPS list, these bothersome calls still find a way to interrupt my peace at the most ridiculous times.
