These muppets keep ringing my home phone. I put their number on block ages ago so it goes straight to silence (and it shows up in my logs) but seriously, why does society have to put up with this rubbish when there's loads of evidence, just here on this site, saying they're likely scammers or at the very least pesky telemarketers. Come on UK government, sort this out once and for all.

This morning my home phone buzzed with a Crewe area code I didn’t recognise. I answered but kept quiet (I always do that if the number’s unfamiliar - better safe than sorry with those voice-activated calls). The caller hung up straight away. Had a look online and it turns out that number’s linked to dodgy stuff. People like that are such a pain.

Got a call from someone called Julie, sounded like she had a really rough voice, maybe from smoking a lot. She was ringing from Sanctuary or Century in Alsager, or something like that. She asked if I’d seen a leaflet they’d sent about their services - I hadn’t. Just as I was about to say something, I told her I wasn’t interested in random cold calls like hers and then ended the call.

Got a call from someone called Cal, said they were from Sanctuary Care or something like that, talking about paying for care homes. They said Local Authorities might force you to sell your house to cover costs, which I know isn’t right. Not sure if they were trying to offer help with money or just trying to dodge fees. I didn’t mention anything about being on the TPS, but I’ve still reported the number. Feels dodgy to me, probably a scam.

Got a call around 3.15pm on 12th September. Similar to what others mentioned, sounded like a firm from the care industry, working under some new government scheme. When I asked if he was familiar with the TPS, he said yes and seemed to understand what it was. He then claimed he wasn’t aware I was on the list and said it wasn’t his job to manage the company’s IT stuff. So, I just ended the call there.
