Got a call from this number claiming to be Virgin Media, some bloke asking me to install a firewall. He was Indian, I think. I told him I already have full protection, even dark web checks, and I wasn’t interested in him messing about on my system. He just said, “Oh dear oh dear, you don’t get it,” and kept muttering to himself as I ended the call. Proper scammers. I seen a few comments saying the number is linked to different scams. Some bloke claimed to be from Virgin Media tech support, saying my router was flashing errors about my PC and that others were on my wifi. I told him everything was fine. The caller claimed to be from Virgin Media, alleging there was some questionable activity associated with my internet connection and Wi-Fi. I received a rather dubious call from this number, with the caller asserting they were from Virgin Media Technical Support. They informed me that my wifi had been compromised by another IP address, which raised my eyebrows. The caller persisted in wanting details about my router, but when I requested some verification of my account information to prove their legitimacy, they grew rather irate. I stated that I would contact Virgin Media directly to resolve this issue, which seemed to fluster them. They went on about needing to disconnect my internet to halt the supposed "fraud". I simply told her to proceed as she saw fit and ended the conversation. Strangely enough, my internet remains intact!
