I keep getting calls from this number for someone I dont know at all. I’ve picked up before and told them they’ve got the wrong person, which seems to pause the calls for a bit, but then they just start again. I've never come across someone so daft claiming to be from Car Phone Warehouse. Having worked in telesales management, I started questioning the bloke about GDPR right away, and he just hung up on me. Tried ringing the number back a few times hoping to get through to someone real, but it showed a fake company name and email when I looked it up on Google. The robo call told me to press 1 for an advisor. Oddly, on my third attempt, pressing nothing still got me some message about all lines being busy or whatever. Feels like these muppets have just popped out of jail and are trying to run some dodgy old scam again!

My phone buzzed and I picked up. After a click, a lady with an Indian accent said hi and asked how I was. I couldn't catch all of what she said but it seemed like she mentioned something about a ‘house’ (maybe she said Carphone Warehouse like others here have guessed?). So I just hung up, assuming it was a scam or someone trying to sell me stuff I didn’t need. It was really irritating since I was in the middle of spending time with my family.

I’m pretty sure these lot are scammers, they keep calling from different numbers, claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. I've told them at least three times to take me off their list. This was the initial call out of eleven from unfamiliar numbers, starting with this one on 13th September. I phoned back roughly half an hour later, but nobody picked up. Do you actually do anything about the numbers reported to you? I really hope so. Before, our landline was being bombarded, and I used to answer most of the calls, reporting some to the police. It often sounded like an Indian or Pakistani accent, which I eventually got better at spotting and challenging. This is the first time my mobile has been the target.
