I got a call from a woman claiming she was calling on behalf of a phone provider about iPhones. As I tried to tell her I wasn’t interested and to take my number off their list, she just cut me off and ended the call right in the middle of what I was saying.

Had a rather garbled conversation with them; the connection was absolutely dreadful. I mentioned a couple of times that I couldn't make out what he was saying, and then out of the blue, he just cut the call.

I picked up the call, but all I got was silence before they abruptly disconnected. I've since decided to block that number.

I received a phone call regarding a contract that supposedly qualified me for a rather generous 40% discount. However, I found the entire conversation rather baffling. The caller, who had a noticeable sub-continental accent, repeated the same information three times, yet I was still none the wiser. To make matters worse, he was speaking at quite a rapid pace, and the call quality was decidedly poor. It's no wonder I couldn't grasp what he was on about!

Claimed to be from my mobile provider but then proceeded to inquire about who I was actually with. Their accents were rather challenging to decipher, so I decided it was best to end the call. Definitely not affiliated with O2, that's for sure…

Totally ruined my pint of Guinness while I was savouring it - not chuffed at all, I ended up with it all over my shirt, which was pristine before! Honestly, I couldn't even figure out what the person was after. Safe to say, I won't be returning for another drink here.

Got a call early this morning from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT’s tech support. I’ve had a bunch of these scam calls lately and I just end up hanging up straight away. It’s annoying that they always ring first thing in the morning. You’d think BT would have some way to block these dodgy calls automatically by now.

I had a rather peculiar encounter the other day. A lady, struggling a bit with her English, inquired if I might fancy some complimentary damp snails. To be honest, I had no clue what that was all about, so I thought, why not? I agreed. Next thing I knew, she was offering me a staggering amount of these slimy creatures-several kilos, no less-just as long as I was willing to cover the postage. I’m still a tad sceptical about whether I’ll actually see this massive haul of soggy snails, but hey, I figured it was worth a shot!

I haven’t the foggiest who this might be or what their intentions were in ringing me. Given that my phone automatically blocked the call, I can only surmise it’s a dodgy number trying to pull a fast one.

I got a call from a guy with a strong Asian accent who started off by wishing me well. Then he spoke really fast, and I couldn’t catch what he was saying because of his accent and speed. I asked him to slow down and repeat himself, but instead of doing that, he just ended the call.
