Got about 3 calls today from people saying they're with BT, telling me my internet's been hacked or something. The numbers were something like 01248352111 and 0124984007. Over the past couple weeks, I've had at least 5 calls like this. I've blocked them all but they keep coming through using different numbers, even though I'm on the TPS list. It's really annoying that they still get through.

Just like everyone else, this person said they were from TPM and wanted my direct debit number to supposedly stop nuisance calls forever. He even knew my address and got really aggressive when I didn’t give it. I ended the call straight away without sharing anything. Best to just block and forget about it.

i keep getting calls from 01248 209 numbers, and every single one turns out to be a scam!

They tried to get me to verify my name, but I just asked who was on the line instead, and they ended the call right after.

i got a call from someone who said they were with the tps, had an asian accent, and said they could help stop nuisance calls. when i refused to give my bank details for some direct debit thing from my landline provider, he sounded proper annoyed.

Got a call from someone saying they were from telephone preference management, saying I was signed up with them to stop calls. I kept it going for a bit but then they started asking about my finances. Told ’em that was none of their concern. They then mentioned my address to prove they were legit, but I said they could find that in a phone book. They kept pushing but I just ended the call in the end.

Phone cut out on me before I could pick up, had to hang up quickly on my phone. When I looked up the number on ‘who called me’, was obvious it was a scam.

No message was left, so I’m guessing it’s probably a scam. Seems like someone in Bangor got their hands on a phone directory or something - this is the second time I’ve had a call from there today!

Lately I’ve been getting loads of annoying calls from numbers starting with O2xxxxx, where the callers claim to be from BT and warn about my internet being disconnected. I usually block them straight away. So, when a call came from 012480, I decided to answer it. Just like the others, they launched into this long spiel about some tpa service. I ended the call pretty quickly and blocked the number before they could go much further.
