So yesterday I got a call from a number I didn’t know and just ended it straight away. They rang back almost immediately, so I hung up on them again. Later on, about 30 minutes after, the same thing happened once more. After that I decided to block the number. Then today, they called me but this time from another number, so I had to block that one as well.

I dont know exactly what company was calling, but my phone flagged it as a scam. It's really frustrating since I get loads of these calls every day. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone saying my loft insulation wasn’t good enough. I mentioned it was fibre glass and had been fitted not long ago. Then she asked if anyone had come to check it over. That’s when I got suspicious - seemed like a scam to me. The only reason I picked up was because I’d just applied for a boiler grant, and I figured it might be linked. Now that number’s just another blocked one on my phone.

Got a call on my mobile earlier today from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse. I’ve never bought anything from them so I just ended the call. I’m registered with TPS on both my landline and mobile, so even if they were legit (which I doubt) they shouldn’t have been calling me in the first place.

Absolute scum scammers pretending to be from the TPS, and they get proper rude if you question them. It’s kinda amusing messing with them, especially when you tell them you don’t have to pay to sign up, and that you’re reporting them for breaking GDPR rules. They’re just on the lookout for easy targets to scare. Report them to the ICO and help shut them down!

They then asked for my bank card info. I ended the call and reported it to the police through their fraud helpline to flag the phishing attempt.
