I got two calls today from someone named ‘Tom Smith’ claiming to be from Pioneer, wanting to talk to the CEO about some email supposedly sent by them. If that were true, he’d surely know the CEO’s name properly and probably have their direct number. When we mentioned this on the second ring, he got a bit rude then just ended the call. He wouldn’t explain what the call was about or why it was important to connect him.

Keeps phoning to set up a meeting, really won’t take no for an answer.

I had a bloke named Patrick Winton from Pioneer ring me up, and when I told him we don't deal with unasked-for calls, he lost it pretty quick. He started banging on about spending his cash somewhere else - like I cared. You could hear the usual call centre racket behind him. Honestly, the faster these cold callers get stroppy and try to intimidate the front desk, the more obvious it is they're just dodgy telemarketers.

We kept getting calls from some Laura Smith, who had apparently also looped in my manager via email. Took quite a while, but eventually I called her out on all the fibs she was telling. Total scammer, best just to block and not deal with her at all.

Someone called me claiming to be Tom Smith from this company called Pioneer. Said he was following up on an email supposedly sent by our CEO, which totally wasn’t true. When I asked what the call was regarding, he wouldn’t say a word and as soon as I pressed him for answers, he just hung up on me.

I was asked to get the MD by name, and when I said I'd talked to him before, they refused to say anything else. When I kept asking, they said they were from some firm called Pioneer. After that, they got quite rude and pushy when I asked why they were calling. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now!

We keep getting calls from this one company pushing HiHi phone systems on our business. They keep saying there’s been some kind of upgrade to the network or that we qualify for an upgrade or something like that. No matter how many times we say no or ask them to stop calling, they still ring up at least once every week. It’s really frustrating...

Some bloke called "tom smith" said he was ringing for himself but wouldn't say why. He kept asking for our CEO, messing up their name, and said the CEO was busy on the line. Then he claimed he was one of our clients and wanted my name like he was gonna complain. We don’t have any clients at all, so I just ended the call.

I had a really bad run-in with a woman who was super rude from the start. She told me she wasn’t going to answer the phone and then hung up. What shocked me more was when she called again just to complain about how impolite we were towards her. Told you, she’s going straight on the block list!

Got a call from someone saying his name was Matthew Smith, asking for the MD specifically by name. He mentioned he was from Pioneer and reckoned the boss would know him, so he wanted to be put straight through. I told him the MD wasn't around and he could ring back later. Definitely planning to block that number.

Got a call from some bloke who was really rude, asking if he could speak to our Director. I said he wasn’t in at the moment. He claimed he’d already emailed him. When I asked which email he used, he got all defensive and refused to say. Then he had the nerve to call me rude for just checking if he’d got the right email! Some people honestly act like we’ve never dealt with this kind of thing before! Complete muppets.

We got a call at the office from someone called Laura, though I’m not sure if that’s her true name. She said she knew the MD, but when we pressed for details, she only gave us the company name “Pioneer” after asking her a couple of times. She kept dodging our questions and then abruptly ended the call when we called her out on it. Seems like they’re using the same spiel on every business. Laura, if you happen to see this, you seriously need to work on your sales techniques.

Got a call from some bloke called Matthew at Pioneer, claiming he was in a chat with my MD about consultancy stuff. Total lie. Crikey, these annoying calls keep coming, and they’re constantly trying to sneak past me to reach the big boss. Seriously, why do these cold callers reckon they can just ring up someone at that sort of seniority? It’s baffling.

Got a call from someone named Harry Clark who was asking for our Managing Director. He sounded like he knew her, but when I double checked with the firm and said 'Pioneer', he suddenly said she’d just arrived at the office and asked if he could ring back later. Then, out of the blue, he just disconnected the call!

Some bloke from Broadband telephone systems rang me up claiming he’d emailed and chatted with me ages ago, apologising for not getting back sooner cos he’d been really busy. I couldn’t remember ever having a word with him. He was pretty insistent, so I told him we’d hold off for now since there’s no hurry. That didn’t go down well and he started pushing for a rep to visit in a couple of days. I got a bit sharp with him and he just got more wound up, so I ended the call. Honestly, I doubt he was legit.

Today, a bloke named Freddie Wilson gave our firm a ring. He was asking for one of the Directors and even called them by their first names. When I asked which company he was with, he said Pioneer. I then asked what exactly they do, and he mentioned something about business infrastructure. When I pressed him for more details, he replied that it was too complex for me to get and insisted he had to talk to a director.

This caller was quite persistent and spoke really well, but refused to share their own name, number, or purpose of the call. They just seemed interested in whether I was free. They did know the first name though, but when I said only the person wanted should get in touch, they just hung up.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Pioneer, talking about business phone systems. They were really vague though, kept saying they needed to see if we were “eligible” for what they were offering but wouldn’t explain anything else. Felt a bit off, like a scam to me.

I just got a call from some bloke named Robert Ward - last week it was Dan Brown - who claimed he’d been in touch with the Director a few weeks back and was checking up on an email supposedly sent around the same time. When I asked what it was about, he dodged the question completely. I called him out, telling him straight the Director hadn’t reached out to him at all and accused him of being dodgy and dishonest. After that, he suddenly said the chat wasn’t going how he wanted and just hung up on me.

This guy calling himself 'Sam Brown' kept insisting he was just following up on an email that I never actually received. He was acting like he was tight with the boss or something. I asked him for a contact number or any details about where he was calling from, and he just wouldn’t tell me. Said he'd send another email, but I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. Really dodgy behaviour.

Got a call from Sam Brown at Pioneer, said he’d follow up with an email. Claimed the director would know who he is. He said he’d just send an email since we’re not answering his calls. Honestly, what’s the point if the director doesn’t even know him? I just said goodbye and that’s that. Poor Sam, looks like tough luck for him.

Some bloke said he was Dan Farmer and that my MD had emailed him wanting a callback. I had no clue about any email, so I asked if it was a sales pitch. He told me it wasn’t. When I asked where he was ringing from, he just said nowhere, then quickly hung up. I tried ringing the number back but got cut off straight away.

Got a call at 10:13 on 20 Sep 22 from 01243 212682. A bloke named Dan Gibson said he’s with Pioneer but didn’t mention the company right away. He told me he’d emailed the MD already, so they’d understand the reason for the call. Mentioned something about infrastructure work but said it wasn’t urgent and he’d send a follow-up email anyway. Had to prompt him to confirm the company's name since he wasn’t clear at first.

Got multiple calls from 01243 212682, some bloke called Glenn Williams kept saying the MD told him to get in touch. He really didn’t like it when I told him I wasn’t interested and asked straight up what he was selling. Proper pushy bloke, not someone who takes no easily.

This number won’t stop ringing, like every 20 minutes from morning right through till evening. I finally picked up to see what they wanted and it was something about deposits, which I’ve got none of. The lady just hung up on me quick after that. Feels like one of those phishing scams to me, so watch out and just block it. It’s really bad when they won’t leave you alone during work hours, calling non-stop from nine until six. Proper annoying.

This chap wouldn’t stop insisting on chatting with my manager, sounding rather mechanical in his approach. He claimed he was ringing from ‘Pioneer’. When I quizzed him about what exactly Pioneer was up to, he just brushed me off, repeating that my boss was anticipating his call. To cut a long story short, he definitely wasn’t getting through to anyone!
