Got a call from someone selling stuff, asking about how many desk phones are in the office.

I've had a ton of calls from them, always demanding to speak to the director by first name. When I ask who’s calling, they go, "Just say it’s Paul, they’ll know," but if I push a bit more, suddenly it’s 'Paul Smith.' Once I realise it’s a scam and that they’re ringing from Rubix, I tell them not to bother calling again. Still, they come back all rude and try to act all smart. I never stick around long enough to listen to their nonsense. Honestly, they’d be better off hanging up and finding a proper job instead of hassling people like this.

Got a call from some telecom company wanting to know the names of our directors and when they’re usually around. Felt kinda fishy to me. I reckon they’re just collecting info to pass on to other firms, which means I’ll probably get bombarded with even more dodgy calls later. Best to steer clear of these lot!

Got a call from some guy claiming to be from 'TRO', said it was a charity or something, wanting an update on my business info because ISDN lines are going away. I told him we use VOIP so it wasn’t relevant, but he kept pushing. Since there was no advantage for me or the company, I just hung up. Tried looking up the organisation online afterwards, but couldn’t find anything about them anywhere.

Received a call on our office line from someone purporting to be conducting a survey regarding mobile phones. Things took a turn when I mentioned I wasn't comfortable sharing any information, especially concerning our Managing Director. The chap got unnecessarily irritable.
