Today, I got a call from 01243 212673. The guy on the other end asked for our MD by name and then tried to get hold of the other Director too. When I told him no one was free, he said he'd send an email instead. He said his name was Joe but never said what he wanted with my MD. It felt dodgy, like a scam, especially since he rushed his words to stop me asking who he was or which company he was from. They always try to make you think they actually know the people they’re asking about.

This call was really annoying and the person never said who they were or the company they worked for. They just kept asking for someone like they actually knew them. There was loads of noise in the background too, which made it sound suspicious. I’m pretty sure it was a scam, honestly.

I got a call from someone called Katie, who said she was checking in after talking with the owner. She didn’t even know his real name and kept messing it up. Then she tried to cover it up by saying she’d been calling him the wrong name all along and he never said anything about it. I didn’t buy it, so I just blocked the number.

Some bloke called, said he was Freddie from Rubex or summat, but it was a real mission getting any details from him. He kept going on about talking to my M.D., even dropped his name a few times. When I kept pressing him for what the call was about since I always screen my calls, he just chucked the phone down.

These people just won’t quit calling, despite my clear requests for them to knock it off. When I asked if they could take me off their list, they were shockingly rude and quite confrontational. They ring from different names each time and pretend they've had previous conversations with my receptionist. It’s all a dodgy scam - seriously, time to BLOCK them!

Got a call from a woman asking for one of our Directors by name, claiming it was about an earlier conversation. I explained that he’s basically semi-retired now and doesn’t take calls anymore, so a previous chat wasn’t possible. I tried to find out what it was about so maybe someone else could assist her. She said she’d send an email instead, so I checked if she had the right address since we recently updated all our emails. She just hung up suddenly. Feels really suspicious to me. No details given. Definitely a SCAM.

Just like loads of people seem to say, this guy acted like he knew the director, saying he was checking in after a chat they’d had before. But when I said the director wouldn’t have used this number cos he never answers it, he tried asking for a different contact number. When I told him we couldn’t give that out, he said he’d send an email instead. Pretty obvious he’s never actually talked to the director. I’ve been receiving calls from someone identifying himself as Tom Sharpe, who seems quite keen to speak with our Managing Director, specifically. He’s been calling daily for the past fortnight, even ringing twice today alone. When I inquired about the purpose of the call on behalf of our MD, he became rather vague and avoided answering my questions. He even suggested I was being impolite for seeking clarification.
