I received a rather curious call today from a gentleman sporting a pronounced Indian accent, who professed to be representing Currys. He was keen to sell me an iPhone at the incredibly low price of just £35 a month! Quite cheeky, he continually urged me to share my thoughts on this 'fantastic offer.' I inquired about the source of my phone number, but all he did was repeat the details of the iPhone deal as if that answered my question. When I pressed him a second time about where he obtained my number, he irresponsibly quipped, "Oh come on, you're the only one today not jumping at this bargain!" At that point, I decided to end the conversation. A quick look on this site confirms that this caller and the number are definitely not affiliated with Currys!

This afternoon at precisely 16:32, I received a call from a chap with a pronounced Indian accent who identified himself as being from Royal Mail. Instinctively, I sensed it was a con and told him as much before terminating the conversation. Just a few minutes afterward, he rang me back using a different number, inquiring about my email address. I responded that if he truly represented Royal Mail, he'd surely be aware of my address and could simply send a letter outlining whatever he needed to communicate. I then hung up once more!

These calls began a couple days ago from a woman claiming her name was Amy. Her English wasn’t great and she kept insisting I owed money and had to pay up immediately or they’d sue me. I got really irritated and hung up straight away because I know it’s total rubbish - I’ve never owed anything in my life.
