Phone number ☎️ 01237300016 👆 is reported as a persistent scam operation impersonating Carphone Warehouse, often using multiple UK landline numbers to make unsolicited calls. Callers pressure recipients for personal, banking, or payment details under false promises, such as discounts or phone upgrades. The callers frequently exhibit unprofessional behaviour, provide inconsistent information, and may hang up abruptly when questioned. Many victims have blocked these numbers and reported the calls as spam or harassment. It is strongly advised not to share any personal or financial information, to ignore suspicious calls, and consider reporting to authorities or the ICO. The nature of these calls suggests an automated system behind the scams, and vigilance is essential to avoid falling victim.

5 yearsBeware of these crooks lurking in the guise of a car-hire warehouse. They’re out to con you into divulging your bank information or making advance payments (which they’ll never honour, naturally). If you get a call from them, don’t hesitate-block the number straight away. When I answered, I promptly Googled the number and discovered it was a scam, so I thought it’d be amusing to keep the chap engaged for another round. He eventually rang me back, but I let it go to voicemail and promptly blocked him. To my surprise, I then received four additional calls from various landlines scattered across the UK! It’s absolutely baffling how the authorities haven’t clamped down on this sort of fraud. Please, for your own safety, don’t share any of your personal information, bank details, or, heaven forbid, any cash with these shysters.UK5 yearsNot sure about it.5 yearsHad some bloke from India cold calling me about buying a phone earlier today. I ended up snapping at them cause they kept ringing me - first at 10:40am on 01236267018, then again around 12:45pm. This lot won’t leave me alone and it’s driving me nuts! The government really needs to step in and put a stop to this nonsense. They’re harrassing me every single week and I can’t keep blocking all their numbers. Proper annoying!5 yearsI received a call from someone claiming to be from O2. They mentioned a special discount of 40% on my bills due to the pandemic. They started talking about sending me text messages with security codes and insisted I share those codes with them. At that point, I realised it was dodgy and quickly ended the call.5 yearsIt’s fairly obvious this is a con artist masquerading as someone from Carphone Warehouse. One has to ponder just who’s peddling these personal details around.Carphone Warehouse5 yearsThis number keeps ringing me, but I have no idea who it is, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it.5 yearsI keep gettin loads of calls like this, but no one's answering when I do.5 yearsThe phone just rang, I picked up, and then it suddenly cut off. Strange!5 yearsThis is just spam, best to ignore it.5 yearsI reckon this is Carphone Warehouse ringing me again. I’ve already had a chat with them on another number, where I explicitly requested them to take my digits off their list and even reported them to the ICO. Yet, just a couple of weeks down the line, I get another call from them - it’s either that they’re really flouting GDPR regulations or this whole thing is dodgy as all get out. Honestly, I'm starting to suspect it’s the latter.Carphone WarehouseICO5 yearsI chose not to pick up the phone and let it keep ringing. This particular number flashed up as a scam. My device clearly deemed it untrustworthy, and I reckon I should feel the same way!5 years*FRAUD ALERT* Received a call purporting to be from Carphone Warehouse. When I requested that they delete my information, they promptly disconnected the line. Quite suspicious, to say the least!FRAUDCarphone Warehouse5 yearsSo irritating, every time I pick up the phone it just cuts out on me!5 yearsI’ve been told this number belongs to Carphone Warehouse, but the person on the line didn’t come across as very professional, in my opinion.Carphone Warehouse5 yearsTerrible connection.5 yearsI answered straight away but there was no one on the other end. Looks like they just want you to call them back? Best not to bother.5 yearsI received a call claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, but when I inquired about their location, the chap on the line stumbled over the pronunciation of 1 Portal Way. Oddly enough, while that is indeed the right address, he seemed completely clueless. To top it off, the number displayed didn’t even have a London area code! After I pressed him a bit further with more questions, he abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, I must say!Carphone WarehouseWayLondon5 years23rd September 2021 It seems like this is some sort of auto-dialer, as the calls continued incessantly even after I’d punched in the number on the search engine and sifted through the reviews. Total SCAM!5 yearsI received a rather dubious call claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, touting a special deal on the iPhone 12 Pro Max for just £8 a month, with a two-week trial thrown in for good measure. The caller then proceeded to boast about the phone's specs, mentioning ‘6.1 inch screen’. Naturally, I felt compelled to do a bit of research and discovered it’s actually a 6.8 inch display-cue my first alarm bell ringing! I couldn't help but wonder how someone purporting to work for Carphone Warehouse could get something so basic so wrong. Sensing something was awry, I quizzed them further on how I could ascertain this wasn't a phishing attempt. They insisted they would send me an email, which I was to read carefully. However, the email address they provided had absolutely no links taking me back to their official site-another warning sign! Out of curiosity, I decided to search the first number they called from (01242 306 018) and lo and behold, it turned out to be a known scam. I narrowly dodged a bullet there! I promptly hung up and blocked the number, only to be bombarded moments later by calls from 01239 200121 and 01237 30016. That was too close for comfort! I was genuinely considering upgrading my phone, but I think I’ll hold off for now!Carphone Warehouse5 yearsReceived a call just now, answered it, and immediately caught what seemed to be the bustling background noise of a call centre for a fleeting moment before they abruptly disconnected.
