They said the firm was named 'Phone House' and claimed my network had passed on my number, and that I’d entered some kind of contest giving them my details - all in one go. They tried to sell me phones with 40% off - seems mad to think a legit phone company would just hand over customers to a random side business like that. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

I received a rather irritating sales call that I didn't ask for. The chap on the other end, who had a distinctly Indian accent, claimed to be ringing from Fonehouse and was promoting a complimentary iPhone if I agreed to switch providers. I politely declined, but he persisted in asking who I was with and how much I was forking out. It was at that moment I expressed my confusion, stating, "What part of 'I'm not interested' don't you get?" Yet, he continued with his sales spiel. I finally told him he was just wasting my time and that I would be lodging a complaint. That’s when he had the audacity to say I was wasting his time before abruptly cutting the call! If he truly represents Fonehouse, I’d advise steering clear of them, as their sales tactics are quite off-putting.
