In the past hour, I've received three calls from this number, and every time I answer, they hang up immediately. Given that I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list, it's clear these callers, whether aligned with a corporation or BT, are breaching regulations. Companies can reach TPS-registered numbers by simply inputting a code before dialling, which is what these blokes should have done. I’ll let this slide a couple more times, but mark my words, if it continues, I'll take action. Having previously managed one of these call centres, I’m well aware of their tactics-absolutely infuriating!

It keeps calling us and has tried on several occasions, but they hang up as soon as we answer.

I received a few missed calls from this number and didn't recognise anyone in Kent. However, the post I've seen explains a lot. My number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service, which makes me wonder how this company managed to get hold of it in the first place.

Received a call from this number on Saturday afternoon, despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service. At least most cold callers have the courtesy to call between Tuesday and Saturday during reasonable hours! It's truly vexing.

I haven't the foggiest idea who this might be, seeing as I'm not listed in the directories.

We encountered the very same situation today; I'm grateful to you for shedding light on that number.

Received a call from this number earlier around half six this evening. We tried to get hold of them again and were informed it’s a market research outfit.

Regarding the number 01233 648505, a representative from this company rang us seeking to speak with our father. Upon asking for their identity, they claimed to be from Hackney Homes, associated with Hackney Borough Council. We informed them that our father had passed away back in August 2007, which should have been known to them if they were genuine. Be cautious of this organisation; they called us at half past eight in the evening-honestly, what kind of council office operates at that hour?

This evening at approximately 5:40 PM, I received a call from this number but regrettably missed it. They didn’t leave a voicemail on my answering machine. Just to note, I’m based in Glasgow, Scotland.

I've just received a call from this number as well, only for them to disconnect straight away. Quite odd, really.

Received a missed call at 4:57 PM with no voicemail left behind. I couldn't figure out who it was and I don't seem to know anyone in Kent. Quite baffling, really!

I've been inundated with missed calls from this number. I finally decided to ring it back, only to find out it's a market research company. Quite the nuisance!

I received a call from a gentleman at 5:45 PM on the second of December, during which he cryptically mentioned something about "the sign of the dog." After that odd remark, the line went dead.

A call came through, but as soon as my answerphone activated, the caller abruptly terminated the call. It appears these telemarketers will stop at nothing to elicit a response but seem utterly disinterested in leaving a message.

Received a call at approximately half past eleven on the 8th of December. I don't recognise any names in Kent. There are merely a handful of individuals who know our landline number, and we typically share it exclusively on forms and the like.

I received a call from this number, and the moment I answered, I heard some indistinct mumbling before they abruptly ended the call. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

I received a call from this number earlier today at 10:45 in the morning. Unfortunately, they didn’t leave a message on my answering machine. I'm based in Liverpool, so it seems like this company is making calls to folks all over the UK. Quite the annoyance, if you ask me!

Had a few calls from this number that I let slip by, and I do hope they give us another bell. If they don’t, I might have to get the authorities involved!

The code in question belongs to Ashford in Kent, and that particular number series (01233 64xxxx) is associated with BT. It could be worthwhile to raise a complaint with BT, highlighting that their customer's actions were, in fact, against the law.

This number has been ringing us each month, and as soon as we pick up, the call disconnects. When we try to return the call, we get an automated message from a market research company. Quite annoying, really!

The number gave us a bell earlier today around half-past three and ringed us four times in total before giving up. We’re located in Cornwall, by the way!

So far, I’ve let about a dozen calls ring out, and thank goodness I haven't answered any of them. Opting for BT’s Caller Refusal service is quite steep in price, but I’m already using their Caller ID and registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Fingers crossed, these persistent callers will eventually take the hint and leave me in peace!

Received a call earlier on at just before 6 this evening from someone claiming to be Marion, supposedly representing the NHS. They wanted to know if we’d be interested in participating in a survey. We politely declined for a couple of reasons: firstly, we’re not keen on answering what appear to be innocuous questions, particularly when they may unwittingly disclose more personal information than one would care to share with a mysterious entity. Secondly, we were more engrossed in watching Andy Murray’s opening match! Seeing as we’re ex-directory, I suspect it’s just a case of them randomly choosing numbers.
