Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from the “car dept” or something, and when I told him I hadn’t a clue what he was on about, he started yelling at me. Definitely a scam, and he was proper rude! Crime really doesn’t do any good, just turns you into a miserable sod.

Got a call from a Carlisle number, some woman with an Indian accent, her English was really bad and there was loads of noise in the background. She said she was from Carphone Warehouse or something. I received a couple of phone calls that were rather dubious, to say the least. The first one had the audacity to assert that my Amazon Prime subscription for the year had been renewed due to an alleged failed payment. Just to clarify, I handle my payments on a monthly basis, and I’ve been timely with everything. Total nonsense, if you ask me! Then, about a week later, yet another call came in, this time stating that I’d been involved in a car accident and ought to file a claim. Honestly, it’s all rather fishy!

Spoke with a strong foreign accent and very broken English. Said they were from the telephone preference service. Tried to get my debit card info but I didn’t give it. Told them I’ve already got call blocking and he said he thought it would stop more calls from the same number. I just said “yeah” to that.
