Said they were with Three Mobile. Asked if they could email me or confirm the email they had on file. They wouldn't do it, citing data protection. Bit suspicious if you ask me. Probably a scam - watch out.

A guy from some call centre phoned me 5 times yesterday, 3 times he just hung up and left no voice message. The first time I picked up and realised it was a call centre, so I ended the call straight away. The second time I actually listened, he asked for me by name but I told him to stop ringing and then I hung up. Luckily, he didn't bother me after that.

i had a similar call myself. a guy with an indian accent claimed to be from some call blocking company in the uk, said he had my name and address. then he asked for my card’s expiry date to supposedly renew the service. that’s when i got suspicious! i don’t even pay for any call blocking service nor have i ever shared my card details with anyone. total scam, be careful!

Got a third call from this number today. Picked up and a woman with an Indian accent asked for me by name. To see what she’d do, I said the person she wanted had passed away earlier in the day. Then she asked, “I assume you’re the owner of this landline?” I told her no, I was the daughter of the person she was asking for. She just hung up after that.

Claiming to be from a call preference service. Yeah, it's a classic scam. They already have your name and address from public databases. Play along for a bit then hang up, they often call back so just waste a bit more of their time. But definitely keep your bank info safe and never give it out. The TPS service is totally free anyway.
