This number 01226 667791 keeps ringing me endlessly but they never bother to say anything on the voicemail. Quite annoying really!

Picked up the phone and all I could hear was a load of people talking like in a call centre. Then someone tells me I was in some kind of accident. Didn’t even wait, just hung up and blocked the number straight away. 0

Picked up the call, but they cut off immediately.

I had an encounter with a right charlatan who attempted to persuade me that I could claim compensation for a car accident I supposedly had, assuring me it wasn’t my fault at all. He went on to request my bank details, claiming he needed them to process an insurance payout for me. He said he was representing some insurance claims firm, but I'm incredibly sceptical, especially since I’ve never been in a car accident in the first place!

Got a call from this number but didn’t pick up. They didn’t leave any message either. The phone showed the location as ‘Barnsley’, but I’m actually based in Newcastle.

Got a call from a number with a Barnsley code, but I'm in Devon. Didn’t pick up since it seemed suspicious and no voicemail was left. Looks like spam to me.

this number rang me up saying there was some issues with my house. i asked them where they found my number and no answer. then i said i have no probs at home and again, nothing. they called me on my work mobile, and they're from barnsley, i'm nowhere near there, i'm down in plymouth. how do they even get hold of your details?? it’s proper confusing!

This number popped up on my phone and was flagged as maybe a scam. I had no idea who it was. Thankfully, I found this site and it really helped me check it out. I've dealt with fake car crash calls before, and I've managed to turn the tables by giving them wrong details just to mess about and kill their time.

I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with Vodafone lately because of rubbish signal, but this call was actually from them for real. They rang up and gave me a decent offer to boost my data, plus said they’d sort out the extra charges I got hit with last month. It was nice to get some proper help from Vodafone for once!

Got a call from 01226 667791, the person said I'd been in an accident. They wanted me to pay £1000 so they'd deal with the insurance for me. Seemed like a total scam to me.

total scam! this bloke told me I was caught doing 53 in a 50mph zone and that I owe £80 fine. he kept insisting I give him my card details. when i asked where exactly I supposedly sped, he couldn’t answer at all. very dodgy!

I received a call from these folks, but since I tend to ignore calls from numbers I don't recognise, they didn't feel the need to leave a voicemail.
