I picked up the phone and a guy with an Asian accent claimed he was calling from some government agency offering help with debt issues. Since I’m totally debt-free, I told him straight away he was a bloody scammer and cut the call, then blocked the number straight away.

They say you can get headphones and a multimedia player, just text snap back, no need to buy anything. What a load of rubbish that is. Seriously, don’t bother replying to them.

Today, on 01/04/2022 at about 1:23 pm, I received a call from a number I didn’t recognise: 01226667812. I answered with a simple ‘hello?’ and paused. A man then spoke for around 7 or 8 seconds with a really thick Indian accent, but honestly, I couldn’t understand a word. I asked, ‘Who is this?’ and he mumbled some unclear words, something about debts and numbers like ‘7’ and ‘227’. Right away, I knew it smelled fishy. I snapped back, ‘You’ve got the wrong number! Stop calling this number!’ and hung up straight away.

I received a call from this number, and it was a woman speaking from what sounded like a bustling call centre with quite a pronounced Asian accent. She suggested she could assist me in managing my debts. The thing is, I’ve got just one debt remaining, and I've only got three more payments to go before it’s settled. The whole conversation felt rather dodgy, to say the least.

Got a call on my mobile from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from the "criminal investigation department." I didn't hang about and cut them off straight away. Then I checked the 'who called me' site to see what was up. Definitely some dodgy call centre behind it.
