I received a call from someone who was not looking for the person they asked for, and then proceeded to discuss a car accident. Despite my repeated dismissal and explanation that I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS), the caller continued to talk. Due to their refusal to listen, I was compelled to end the conversation by hanging up the phone.

Initially, I received four calls regarding some "incident" that I supposedly had – the truth is, there was no accident at all. I've already informed them to cease contacting me, as my number is listed with the Telephone Preference Service.

There has been no response, but this particular number has called our landline several times a day over the past three days.

I’ve been bombarded with calls from this number—at least six in a single day! I didn’t pick up any of them, hoping they’d leave a message, but not a peep. It’s clearly just more nuisance spam, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

It appears that this is a market research firm that conducts surveys on a range of topics, including incidents and other services. I suspect they might be utilising an internet-based dialling system, which is why the actual phone number appears hidden. This sort of practice is fairly prevalent among overseas call centres, and if you attempt to return the call, it often doesn’t go through.

I received an automated call from a company called First Legal urging me to get in touch with them via email. I've never encountered this firm before, so I've decided to block the number immediately. Better safe than sorry, I suppose!

I keep getting calls for someone who absolutely doesn’t live here and has never set foot in my home. It’s clearly a scammer trying to figure out which houses might be ripe for the picking. When I tried to return the call, no one picked up.

Before I could finish my thought—something along the lines of ‘please stop calling or I’ll report you to the authorities’—she abruptly hung up on me. Quite infuriating, really!

A person with an Indian accent claimed to be conducting market research in the UK. Despite my requests, he refused to connect me with his supervisor or help me remove my number from their database. Eventually, he abruptly ended the call.

Rings are hanging up. You can easily see how incredibly irritating it is. What is the point behind all this annoyance?
