I got a call from someone named David Miller, who had an Asian accent. He told me I had an outstanding debt of £3624 and threatened I'd be arrested in 45 minutes if I didn’t sort it. When I rang the number back, the guy on the line said my debt had jumped to £15,000. Quite suspicious if you ask me.

I got a call from someone named John Thompson claiming I owed money to HMRC. He asked if I had an accountant; I replied yes, a tax accountant. I also mentioned that I was actually due a refund from them, which made the whole thing seem really suspicious. Then he threatened that a police officer would show up at my house in half an hour to arrest me. Honestly, I just found the whole thing so ridiculous I couldn’t help but laugh.

I got a call from this number earlier today, and they claimed I’m going to court over tax fraud or something like that. They told me to ring them back straight away or they'd send out a warrant to arrest me. Pretty scary stuff but I’m sure it’s a scam.

Some bloke called himself officer John and said there was a warrant out for me over tax stuff. I asked him if he needed money or something, he said nah, just a heads up that local police would be at my door within half an hour. I told him I’m a cop myself and the guy just hung up on me.

I can't quite recall the name, but the guy sounded like he was from India or Pakistan. He claimed I owed HMRC £55,000 and asked if I had the money. I went along with it for a bit, but then I ended up swearing at the bloke before I slammed down the phone.

Received a message claiming to be from HRM Inland Revenue. Sounded like a gentleman in his late 50s, possibly with a bit of an accent. It was an automated message. I’ve since blocked the number, just to be on the safe side!
