A couple of weeks ago I was given this number, but since then I’ve been flooded with annoying calls meant for the previous owner, even though the number’s supposed to be registered with TPS. I left no message, but the nuisance calls keep coming. Last night, I rang the provider and they told me to get in touch with TPS myself. That’s not right - my phone company should be sorting this out and dealing with TPS to clear up the mess. There’s even a voicemail on my answer machine about grants for window repairs, which might be linked to the withheld number calling me. I also had the phone cut off after I answered a call. Tomorrow I’m going to complain to the Financial Ombudsman - they need to take it up with OFCOM. It’s ridiculous that I’m stuck with the fallout when it’s the provider’s mess to fix. Absolutely boiling!

Got a call at 7.45pm but didn’t pick up. Honestly, why cant they just make these annoying calls against the law? I don’t know anyone who actually likes getting calls from random strangers. If there was a politician who promised to stop them, they’d have my vote for sure. I’m fed up with being bothered all the time. When I got a call from this number, the young woman on the other end tried selling me half price windows. I told her straight up it was a cold call and I wasn’t interested. She got all defensive and insisted it wasn’t cold calling. Honestly, I thought she was quite rude about it.

Had a chat with two individuals who called from this number. They kept going on about cashback for doors and windows through some sort of mystery deal. Claimed they weren’t trying to sell anything, just checking what people might be entitled to!!! These cold calls really need to be banned.

Said they were from THERMAL HOMES. I gathered the info needed for a TPS complaint. TPS seems useless tho - all talk no action. Next time I’m thinking of getting Thermal Homes to send a rep to meet me (and my mates) on some lonely dark winter’s evening. Watch out, Thermal Homes!

Got a call from 001224928530, a bloke who sounded middle-aged, asking for me by name and saying he was from Thermal Windows. Asked if it was a sales call - thankfully I said no (yeah right). Told him if I needed anything, I'd find it myself. Then he cheekily asked how I’d know what I want. I told him I’m not into cold calls and ended the call. He hung up after that.

Some young bloke rang up asking for the homeowner. I didn’t bother telling him I was the homeowner, just asked if it was a sales call since we’re on the TPS. He asked how long we’d been on it. I told him since it started. Then he said you need to renew it every six months or so. Not buying it! I just ended the call.

Got a call from this number earlier today. Lucky for me, I've got BT Call Guardian - honestly, it's the best investment cos I don't have to deal with all that rubbish anymore! I've been signed up with the TPS for nearly three decades and yet was still bombarded with calls like this. I phoned them once, and they said they could put an end to it - but only if I paid £35 a year. Yeah, sure! To me, it just shows they CAN block these annoying calls but only if you cough up money. It’s pretty pointless otherwise, isn't it?

Got a call asking for the person who owns this house - I told them I was, even tho I actually am. They kept asking where the owner was and wouldnt say who they were. I kept asking who they were but they wouldnt answer. They said they'd ring back and kept saying they were nearby. I just hung up then. I'm signed up to TPS and do block spam calls. They asked me to verify my name, but I was super cautious not to say "YES" because I’ve read about scams where they record that word and splice it into other conversations to make you agree to stuff. Anyway, after they confirmed it was me, the caller said she was Linda and wanted to tell me about an energy efficiency deal nearby, but then she suddenly just said "Thanks!" and cut the call.

This guy was a right pain, really pushy when I told him to take me off their list. Kept insisting there was no one named Colin here, even though I’m Scottish and so was he. He wouldn’t stop, kept spelling out names and just saying no Colin around. Got proper rude. Later on, he rang back threatening to get the cops involved cos my husband apparently swore at him. This number phones us about three times every week, sometimes a young sounding woman, other times a bloke. When we say no, they just keep going, so we usually just say bye and hang up. Got one of those automated calls telling me to ring back, but most of it was lost cause their recording didn’t realise my ansafone had picked up. Just another annoying sales call. These days we’re swamped with around 20-30 each week, mostly from overseas or with blocked numbers. I just don’t bother picking up the landline now - let the ansafone deal with it, if it’s important I’ll get back to them.

They've called me two times in under a day even after I told them we're on the TPS register. I always ask "who's this?" even if they know my name (sometimes they hang up after that). It sounded something like "Home Care Solutions"? The lad just talks non-stop and won't let you get a word in. Think I'll just let him go on chatting to himself :D

Had a really unpleasant experience with a woman claiming to be from an energy company. She turned really snappy when I asked how they got my number and what area she was referring to.
