Got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC, saying I owed £750 in unpaid tax but weirdly that it would be refunded to me. They kept going on about an “out of court settlement” and said once I paid up, the issue would be cleared. They even gave me some case number - 892241767 or something like that. Don’t fall for this! HMRC never contacts you like this by phone!

I got a call from a guy who said his name was Jason and claimed to be with Openreach. He told me someone was using my IP address illegally. I told him I didn’t believe it was true, and then he suddenly went mad and started shouting insults at me, even calling me some awful names. I just ended the call straight away and reported the whole thing, along with the number, to the police.
