Beware of a dodgy call from AO pretending to be about your delivery. The real aim is to pressure you into buying an extended warranty, though they never call it that outright. The person on the phone was really sly, avoiding the term ‘extended warranty’ and trying to make it seem like I was the one asking for it. He pushed to “set up your direct debit now.” It’s a proper con, no doubt about it. Someone needs to report them to trading standards. Loads of folks might accidentally agree thinking it’s part of AO’s usual warranty when they buy something. As soon as I said no to the extra warranty, they just said goodbye and ended the call - which shows it’s all just spam designed to trick you.
