Tried calling back outside normal office times to find out who it was, but got a voicemail saying ‘Housing Claim’. Both a load of rubbish. Blocked the number now! Sounds like a scam to me!

Got a call from this number, bloke said his name was Kevin, but I really don’t buy it. The call was flagged as possible spam even before I picked up. He told me my name and phone got leaked by some government thing. Then he just hung up.

I received a phone call claiming that legal action has been initiated against me. They were rather vague about the details and abruptly ended the conversation when I began to inquire further. I have no doubt this was a fraudulent call.

Got a call from someone saying they were with a security firm. They mentioned my name and even said I was an IT manager for some company that sounded like it was from the Middle East. None of it was right. I just ended the call straight away. Feels like a vishing scam to me.

Took ages for them to pick up the phone. It raised quite a few red flags for me, sounding like another dodgy call. The accent was distinctly Indian, and since I don't have any acquaintances in Birmingham, I decided to terminate the call and added them to my blocklist.

I received a call from 0121 469 0016, which claims to be Carphone Warehouse. Honestly, I've never had any dealings with them and have no intention of doing so now. The caller sounded like they were based in India and was reading from a very stiff script. When I mentioned I wasn't keen on their offer, the lady quite rudely told me to shove it! How delightful, right? I've since blocked the number.

Got a silent ring from Metagraphics, so I tried ringing back. They barely said anything except rattling off an email to get your info deleted from their list. Felt super sketchy to me. Definitely not Carphone Warehouse or anything legit.

This bloke called saying he was from Carphone Warehouse, trying to sell me an upgrade deal. I kept telling him I wasn’t interested, probably like four times, but he just kept talking super quick and didn’t listen at all. I told him I always go into the shop for any upgrades, but he claimed all the stores were shut. Still, I told him again I wasn’t interested and prefer visiting my local store. Then he started on about £25 a month with unlimited calls and texts plus 500mb data. Honestly, I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

0121 469 0016 claims to be Carphone Warehouse, but I've had no dealings with them. The individual I spoke to, who sounded Asian, was incredibly impolite and rather mechanical in their responses. Things took a turn for the worse, and they ended up hurling abuse my way. Clearly, this is just a scam attempting to fish for information.

It's astonishing how these lowlifes have nothing better to do than try and rob people blind. I genuinely worry about elderly folks falling for this rubbish.
