I received a rather concerning automated message from HMRC, stating that it was crucial for me to call back as it pertained to a limited-time offer. Naturally, I dialled the number provided and, after a bit of a wait, was connected to an extremely abrasive individual. He demanded my case number, which I simply didn’t possess. When he further insisted on my National Insurance number, I politely declined, questioning how I could verify he was genuinely from HMRC. His response was to rudely tell me to await a written correspondence before abruptly ending the call. How infuriating!

I received a recorded message that purported to be from HMRC. It asked for my solicitor's information and warned that failure to respond could lead to some serious consequences. Quite alarming, really.
