He rang me up claiming I might be eligible for a medical alert pendant. Asked if I was above 50 and whether I needed a walking cane or any kind of walking help. When I asked where he got my phone number from, he said his manager handed him a list each day. I told him I’m healthy and not interested, then he just ended the call.

01208 227138 rang me claiming I might qualify for a free medical alert pendant and asked if I was older than 50. The person sounded quite posh, like a well-educated Brit. I said I don’t do phone surveys, but they could mail me some info if they liked. They agreed right away and just ended the call, no fuss.

Hey John, gotta be honest, you don’t really have a supervisor looking out for you. If things go south, you might find yourself stuck in a chilly cell in some prison you didn’t pick. Just a heads up.

Somebody rang asking if I was past 50 and said I could get a medical pendant for free. Then they mentioned it’d only be 99p a day. I told them I wasn’t looking for anything like that, but they said if I did an assessment, I’d get a free trial of the pendant. Still wasn’t interested and made that clear.

This guy called me, said his name was John, and told me I could get some kind of medical alert pendant if I was over 50 and had health issues. I told him twice I wasn’t into it, but he just wouldn’t stop talking. Eventually, I had to just hang up on him.

BEWARE OF SCAMS! If you get any dodgy calls or texts, make sure to report them straight to the police fraud database. Just look up ‘action fraud’ on Google and head over to the ‘police.uk’ website. Find the section for ‘report phishing attempts’ and have a proper read of all the info there. Then, provide the details of the scam, including any links or web addresses involved. You don’t need to sign up or give personal info unless you’ve actually lost money from a fraud. By reporting all these dodgy contacts, you’re helping the cops keep track and hopefully stop these crooks.

I got a call about a medical alert pendant aimed at people over 50, but I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. The voice sounded so familiar, like the one from that energy health check scam I dealt with before. Watch out!

Beware of this dodgy scam, it's just a robot using pre-recorded replies. I spent over 23 minutes listening to slow, voice-triggered canned messages. The bot kept calling itself John and mentioned something about a medical alert service or pendant alarms in the UK, charging 99p a day and supposedly based in Dorset - complete rubbish. I feel really sorry for the elderly folks who might fall victim to these crooks.

So, this bloke called me claiming his name's John and that I'd somehow qualified for a medical alert. I asked him straight up how he even had my number, but he just kept on reading from some script. I kept questioning him a bit too much, and in the end, he just hung up on me. Classic!

Got a call from someone claiming I qualified for a free medical alert pendant. When I asked for my name and what made me eligible, plus where they got my health info, the guy got a bit flustered. He said he was new and promised his supervisor would ring me back to clear things up. I checked online and discovered it's a well-known scam, where they eventually ask for bank details to cover some "monitoring fee". Seems like they’re mostly going after people over 65.

I got a call from this number the other day, and a bloke was telling me I could get a medical pendant. At first, I assumed it was something my doctor’s office had recommended since I might qualify. Then he started asking if I was over 50 and if I use a walking stick, which struck me as odd. I asked him who told him to ring me up, and before I could get an answer, he just ended the call.

Warning about a pendant scam... (over the course of 23 minutes) it seems every response is a recorded message that you trigger with your voice. It's concerning to think that those who are most at risk could fall prey to this. Stay vigilant!
