I got two calls from the same number on the same day. The first time, they didn’t say what it was about, but when they called a second time, they said they were from Sky and wanted to check my internet connection. They asked me to look up something on my phone, then tried to get me to install an app. I said no, and asked them to prove they were really from Sky, but all they did was keep cutting me off, calling me “ma’am” over and over. After a while, I told her to just stop wasting my time and hang up!

Got a call from some woman with a noisy call-centre in the background who said she was ringing from the "Carphone Warehouse Company". Hung up quick and blocked the number straight away. For starters, no one ever says "Carphone Warehouse Company" like that, and secondly, I've got a SIM-only deal and always pay for my phones upfront, so no interest in contract 'upgrades' at all.

Somebody rang me saying, "Michael from O2 here, how’s it going?" I told them I was pretty sure I’d ticked the box to stop O2 sharing my info with partners. They just went, "Click Brrrrr." Not very convincing!

I got a ring from this number, said it was from Colchester or something. I normally just let random numbers go to voicemail, but for some reason I picked up this time. Nothing really said on the end, then suddenly I started getting loads of calls from all over the UK - like 01252 242013 from Aldershot, then 01207 700037 from Consett, and even one from Blairgowrie in Scotland, 01250 890002. All of them blocked now. Don’t know what they wanted, but honestly it was just annoying as hell.
