Instead of engaging, I opted for silence, and then things took a bizarre turn - the caller began making unsettling noises. Curiosity got the better of me, so I figured I'd stick around in case it turned out to be someone I recognised playing a prank. However, they merely persisted in their strange racket before insisting once more that they were from Carphone Warehouse. There was even a "hello?" thrown in, followed by more of those odd sounds. Eventually, they gave up altogether and hung up. Quite the peculiar experience, I must say!
