I've been receiving incessant calls from an Indian gentleman. He often uses the number 01207 700014 as well. He claims to represent Carphone Warehouse, yet he struggles to say the name of the company correctly, which raises quite a few eyebrows!

I didn’t pick up because it seemed like one of those dodgy scam calls. Honestly, I wish I could track down these idiots and whoever’s behind them. They’re bloody annoying and pathetic. This number, which I guess is probably fake, rang me about a week ago too, and I ignored it then as well. Seriously, there should be laws to stop this rubbish.

I decided not to pick up, figured it was probably some kind of scam.

Somebody called saying they were from Virgin Media and had a special deal on my phone. When I told them I wasn’t interested in switching, they just hung up on me. The accent was really hard to catch, sounded foreign and quite thick. I’ve blocked that number now. I also noticed the number 01206582017 popping up, so I blocked that one too just to be safe.

I got a call the same day I had appointments with British Gas and Dyno Rod for some repairs. When I dialled the number back, it went straight to hold with a recorded message saying it was Aqua Energies, which I couldn’t find any info on anywhere.

This was totally dodgy. The bloke said his name was Peter and had a sort of Asian accent. He told me he was ringing from O2 and said he could knock 30% off my bill. I asked if he wanted to know my monthly charges, and then told him he already had my number, which isn’t from O2 anyway, so he’d see the actual figure. After that, he got really quiet but didn’t hang up. Felt like a classic scam to me.

Today I got a couple of calls, one claiming to be from Sky saying my internet was weak because of some maintenance work. They wanted me to download an app to boost the signal. I ended the call and contacted Sky myself, who confirmed it was a scam. The other number that called me was 01206 592027, and they keep calling non stop.

I got calls all day from some bloke who kept changing the ending of his script. It was always the same Indian guy with that thick Asian accent saying stuff like “You can get the iPhone 13 Prooooo MARX” - honestly, it was mad. First, he was quoting me £42 a month, £10 for insurance, and £79 upfront. I messaged back joking about how I already had a special offer at £34 for the same phone. Then he suddenly says “Just spoke to my manager,” and goes on hold for like two seconds? How do you even do that? LOL. Then he says, “Exclusive deal just for you, £34 today only, don’t tell anyone...” but no SIM card included. I told him O2 have a deal too with a SIM. He tries to pitch an unlimited plan for £9.99 extra. Then he tells me to pay before 6pm or no phone tomorrow. I asked for an email confirmation first, and he said they can’t, payment has to come first because they've got loads of customers and iPhone 13s are already sold out. I asked how they’d ship the phone tomorrow if it’s sold out and he said he kept 5 phones away at the back because he “knew he’d sell about 5 today.” Proper sketchy stuff. Then he sends me some dodgy Google photoshopped link for EE accounts. What a load of rubbish, I can’t believe people fall for it!

I got a call from someone claiming they needed my bank info to verify my address so they could send me a sim with a great offer. Total nonsense! Never share your details or even waste time with them. They're persistent and ring loads of different numbers. I've already reported it to action fraud.
