I answered but no one said a word. How on earth did they get hold of my phone number? I only share it with my GP, close family, and my bank. This is so annoying.

I didnt pick up because the number was unfamiliar. Reading these reviews helped me see that its probably a scam. Very useful info!

Had a bit of a run-in with them as they attempted to pitch me some sort of “phone deal.” When I expressed my doubts, suggesting it sounded rather dodgy, the chap on the line went on the defensive. To top it off, their command of English left much to be desired.

Received a call earlier today from someone claiming to be from Curry's PC World, trying to tempt me into signing up for a new iPhone contract. I found it amusing, as I thought they only dealt in selling the devices themselves! Needless to say, I didn't stick around to chat and promptly ended the call.

I was busy with work so I just let it ring, didn’t know the number anyway. Later on, I decided to check who it was by looking it up.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Carphone Warehouse offering a brilliant deal. I told him to hang on while I grabbed my credit card info to sort it out then and there. He never even mentioned what the offer was about! He just kept going on with a strong Indian accent, all polite and thankful. That’s when I told him to do one and ended the call!

They said they were from Carphone Warehouse, but honestly, it seemed dodgy, probably some kind of scam.

I have my suspicions that it might be spam, so I've gone ahead and blocked it!

I received a call from this number, and they were kind enough to leave a voicemail - albeit just a rather odd recording of their heavy breathing.

It sounded like a call centre, I ended up hanging up as soon as I asked who was calling.

Got a call from someone saying they were from car phone warehouse, which was odd cos that company closed down ages ago! They were trying to sell me some fancy new Samsung phone with unlimited stuff for £40 a month. Definitely dodgy, so I didn’t share any details with them.

I picked up the phone and stayed on for like 10 seconds, but then they just ended the call without a word. Pretty sure it was a scam.

No clue who that was, I just let it ring off. Over the last week or so, I’ve had loads of calls like this, all coming from different numbers in Colchester and Bolton. No idea what I’ve done to get so much attention lately! Anyway, I’ve blocked this number now - 01206 592016.

I received a call from a bloke named Ben, claiming to be from a company called Three. He was droning on about upgrading my account and the like. If he truly represented a UK telecom firm, you’d think he’d know my name, wouldn’t you? So, I ended the conversation by telling him exactly what I thought of his dodgy tactics and promptly hung up!

I had someone ring me claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. They were probing about my mobile provider and what sort of phone I have. Then, they wanted to know the details of my contract costs. I mentioned that I'm only 16 and haven't set foot in a Carphone Warehouse in ages. The chap on the other end mentioned he was 22 and I could hear quite a bit of background noise, as if he was in a bustling place. No matter how often I tried to tell him to remove my number and stop calling, he just persisted with his inquiries about my phone bill. It was rather frustrating!

I've gone ahead and blocked that number after seeing what others have said about it.

They claimed to be from an energy firm, but you could hear loads of people chatting in the background like a call centre. They mentioned being from Colchester too. I just ended the call and blocked them straight away.

Got a call from an automated power dialer the other day, but there was nobody actually speaking on the line. Then I heard some weird noises like someone was attempting to patch the call through before it suddenly cut off. Been noticing quite a few of these calls lately with the same kind of behaviour - all seem to be either spam or scams. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

Received a call from this number, picked up but there was complete silence on the other end. Ended the call, looked it up on whocalledme and decided to block it straight away.

I haven't got a clue who it might be. Gave it a ring back only to find it's an active number that disconnects after a few seconds. Seems a bit dodgy, but I'm not ready to jump to conclusions just yet. It'll be curious to see if they decide to reach out again.

Got a call from +44 1206 592016, total nuisance and obviously a scam trying to harass me. Wouldn't answer if you get it!

Got a call on my landline but they never left a message on the answering machine. Then about half an hour later, the same number called my mobile. I picked up but all I heard was silence. Ended up hanging up and blocking that number straight away - looks like some kind of phishing scam to me.

Got a call on my mobile from some number I’ve never seen before - no idea who it was.

Got a missed call but no voicemail left. I’m just going to block the number. Just yesterday, some scammer rang me up about “phone services” and hung up right after I asked what the call was about. That one’s blocked too. These pesky scammers are everywhere. Best not to pick up on unknown numbers. Real companies don’t usually cold call like that.

Lately, I've been getting loads of scam calls. I didn’t get to answer this one, but a quick search showed it’s probably just another scam trying to con folks. So, I’ve blocked the number!

I received a call from someone claiming to represent Carphone Warehouse, yet I was well aware that they're out of operation. It felt rather dodgy, especially when they attempted to persuade me into switching my contract. I simply thought, "How can I extricate myself from this?" I firmly informed her that I had no interest in her spiel and made it clear that she shouldn't misrepresent herself as being associated with that company and to refrain from calling me in the future.

I decided to sever ties after going through the remarks on this site.

This is definitely a con. When I confronted the caller, they turned quite aggressive. It’s the same dodgy scheme I had a run-in with from a different number earlier on in the week!

I received a call from this number and when I picked it up, they simply hung up on me. Since then, I've tried dialing it back a whopping 17 times! Out of those, I masked my number for 10 attempts, but every single one was met with rejection. It feels like I’ve stumbled upon a scam operation based in the UK. After seeing the multitude of comments echoing this experience, I’ve decided to block the number altogether.

Claimed to be from Car Phone Warehouse. They rang me from eight different numbers in a row, only altering a single digit each time. Quite the nuisance!

At one point, he even connected me to his supervisor, "Katherine Pierce," as I requested they take my name and number off their lists. Please keep in mind that the TPS does not possess the capability to trace or track the calls you receive. At one point this number rang me but didn't leave any message.

The bloke called me by my first name, which threw me off. He had quite a thick accent. I cut him off and told him to delete my number right away. He wouldn’t have it and said he’d ring me daily now. So, I just ended the call. But seriously, who’s gonna stop these pesters? It’s getting annoying.
