Got a really scary call from this number, an automated voice saying it was HMRC about some tax refund. The message warned me to hit 1 right away or I’d get an arrest warrant put out for me. Proper threatening stuff, definitely not cool. I’ve blocked it straight away!

I got a call off a really polite lady who said it was just a courtesy call about my credit card. When I asked her how long it might take, she didn’t have an answer. She told me she’d send over a number to ring back, but I never got anything from her.

got a call today claiming to be from hmrc. when i tried to say something i soon worked out it was just a recorded message telling me to ring a number. i'm pretty sure if you call that back it's a premium rate line or something, and if you’re silly enough to believe it they probably try to get you to pay up.

I got a call from this Bolton number but there was no one there, no sound or anything. It just stayed silent and then hung up on its own after like 30 seconds. Really strange.

This Bolton number rang me, but no one said a word or made any sound. After around 30 seconds, the call just dropped on its own. I have no idea what that was about.

Someone called claiming to be from 3 and asked about my monthly phone and SIM charges, saying they wanted to help me pay less. I told them that if they really worked for 3, they’d already have that info. After that, they just gave up and never rang me again.
