I've had loads of calls like this, and if it was true, my bank would be rolling in cash, like it’s backed by some wealthy tycoon or a fund in London for lavish parties and worse. Honestly, she should get off her comfy chair and maybe have a look at the flood of complaints here, and realise we deal with scam attempts every single day, often even getting threatened when we call these muppets out.

I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was ringing on behalf of O2 offering 40% off my bill because of covid, plus a free Christmas hamper. I was like, “Alright, why's that then?” as I hadn’t had anything from O2 recently. Then he started getting a bit cheeky, telling me I wasn’t paying attention. When I asked for his details he said he didn’t need my address and just ended the call abruptly. Proper dodgy if you ask me.
