Got a call from some bloke claiming to be Chris, said he’d been chatting to the property owner or something like that. I asked if he was with my energy company, but turns out he wasn’t. He carried on chatting about rockwool and other stuff like it causing damp inside houses. Told him I wasn’t bothered and ended the call. Honestly, how are these calls still coming through when I’m signed up to the TPS?

I've had a bunch of calls from a fraudster who sticks to the same area code but just switches up the last three numbers. It's really annoying how many slightly different numbers they've used!

They keep ringing me every single day. I've tried blocking them but then a new number pops up the next day, just with a couple of digits switched around. So far I've put six different numbers on my block list. It's proper annoying and feels like harassment. Some of the numbers are 01202 159286, 01202 159295, 01202 159282 and 01202 159197.

Got a call quite like others have mentioned. The guy said he was Chris, doing energy checks around here because our loft insulation is apparently old. Sounded genuine at first but then he began with some really personal questions. When I told him I wasn’t comfortable answering, he just abruptly ended the call. Some bloke rang me claiming to be from the government’s energy department with offers of free upgrades. When I asked how they got hold of my number, considering I’m on the TPS and my details aren't listed anywhere, he just kept rattling on without answering. Tried pushing him for a straight answer but he just ignored me again and kept going. Told him to take me off their list and then I ended the call. Since then, I’ve had two more calls which I cut off straight away. Really irritating and feels like it’s a scam to me.
