Even though I'm signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, I keep receiving calls from a chap named Chris, claiming to represent Green Eco Centre. It's quite absurd, really - he's rung me a staggering eight times now, all from numbers starting with 01202159... Whenever I ask him to cease the incessant ringing, he simply hangs up, yet the calls persist unabated. Quite irksome, wouldn't you agree?

In the past week i've had about 8 calls from different numbers all beginning with 01202 159 - never a message though on my answerphone. Everytime i block one number, another pops up that's just a little different. I've blocked those as well since i've had loads of scam calls about loft insulation from 01202 before. Even though i'm ex-directory and on the TPS, it doesn't seem to stop these calls at all.

So yesterday this bloke called me, said his name was Chris and claimed that our house was listed on some sort of database for homes with poor loft insulation. I asked him how anyone could possibly know that, and naturally he had no clue. He just kept going back to his spiel, telling me not to worry about it. I kept telling him I wasn’t bothered, and after a bit of that back and forth he just gave up and ended the call. Sounds like a dodgy scam to me!

I keep getting calls nearly every day from various 01202 digits. On the rare occasion that I picked up, the person on the other end pretended to be my local energy consultant.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Chris is just a pre-recorded voice. It only kicks off when you greet it with a "hello." If you simply answer the call and remain silent, nothing happens-hence why folks reckon there’s nobody at the other end. The set phrases it uses to reply to your inquiries are quite limited, and it seems to get flustered if you try to interject. It’s actually a rather clever setup, so don't let it trick you. This is definitely a dodgy outfit, likely making calls from the Bournemouth area, and certainly not a local business. I suspect it's not even affiliated with Green Eco Energy, which is situated in South London.

Got a missed call from a number I didn’t recognise. They left a voicemail, but when I tried to find out who it was, I saw loads of people had already blocked or deleted this number. Bit suspicious really.

Not sure what this lot is all about. Every time it's some bloke named Chris on the line. They don’t actually respond to anything you ask, just going through some set script like a robot. Been getting calls about five times now, and although I’ve blocked the number, they ring back using a different one that's close - starts with 01202 and then 159 as the next three digits. I block one number, and low and behold, another pops up with just a numeral changed. Apparently, he's peddling loft insulation or some such nonsense. They’re insisting that their records indicate we have the outdated loft insulation - which is quite the contrary. We’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet they persist in calling us. In fact, we've already had two calls from them today alone!
