Got a call at about half ten in the morning, some bloke saying he was Chris from an energy saving firm. Told him I'm on the TPS and asked him to take my number off their list, which I already told them a couple of weeks back! Then they ring again barely an hour later. If they’re up for it, I’m more than happy to cause a fuss.

I've been getting loads of calls recently from some "energy consultant" using various numbers that all begin with 01202143. When I first got one, I told them straight to take my name and phone off their list since I'm on the TPS. Doesn't seem like it bothered them much though. Got a call from these energy people about putting insulation in my loft - didn’t feel right at all. I answered one call a couple days ago, but the guy just kept waffling, so I ended up hanging up. They’ve just called again, and this is at least their fourth try now, even though I cut the call off straight away whenever they ring!

I got a call from someone saying they were checking loft insulation around here and that all my neighbours had it done, so now it was my go. I mentioned that we had ours sorted out a few years back, so no thanks. They kept pushing, insisting the house could get damp if it wasn’t checked. They didn't really let me get a word in, so I just had to end the call.

He asked if I owned the property, and when I asked which property he was on about, he just disconnected the call. Got a call from someone claiming to be from a local energy provider. They brought up loft insulation and mentioned that a few neighbours had already had a completely free survey done. The person was pretty forceful, kept pushing to speak to my husband. Then they asked for our age, giving just two choices: 65-85 or 85+, which doesn’t fit us at all. When I told him that, he just ended the call straight away.

Some idiot ringed me spouting all sorts of rubbish about how everyone round my way has already had this done and now they’re just callin’ the last few. They started on about fibreglass loft insulation causing damp up there. Total nonsense if you ask me - I’ve been involved in construction for over 30 years, so I know a load of bollocks when I hear it.

As others have pointed out, the bloke running this loft scam is a con artist named Stuart Wright. He’s got an address at 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham, and all the phone numbers link back to him. Looks like that posh house he’s living in comes from ripping people off!
