This number called me again today and I didn’t pick up. Same thing happened yesterday, I just let it ring out. The first time was a few weeks back when we actually answered, and the bloke went on about loft insulation and wanted to arrange a survey. I said no, but he was pretty persistent. Some bloke called up claiming he knew exactly what loft insulation I had at home! I told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call. After that, whenever I tried to ring out, all I got was static. Eventually fixed it by punching in 1572 to blacklist the number as a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with The Driveway Service, said he needed to check if we still had a driveway here. When I asked how he even had my number since it's not listed anywhere, he just said his manager would explain it soon. I told him outright there’s no driveway, and he replied with “I see,” then just hung up on me. Totally sounds like a scam to me!

They ring me twice daily and blocking one number doesn't help coz they just switch to another from the same place. Honestly, there should be a way to track and put an end to these scammers once and for all.

Around 4:50pm today, this number rang my home phone, but I didn't pick up and they didn’t leave a voicemail. Because it looks just like loads of other dodgy numbers that have bothered me before, I’ve gone ahead and blocked it. Just so you know, all my contacts are registered with the TPS, and I only share my landline with close family, friends, and essential places like my doctor’s surgery. So if a number is unfamiliar, it’s pretty much an automatic block from me.

He never bothered to ask me who I was first, so I just told him, "You didn't ask me my name." Right after that, he just ended the call. Bit disappointing cos I swear that voice sounded familiar from a previous call. Definitely a scammer working for some dodgy operation.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had a chap called Tom ring me repeatedly, claiming my loft insulation is rubbish. It baffles me how he even found my number since I’m unlisted and registered with the telephone preference service. Each time I ask where he got my details from, he just brushes it off. I’ve told him I’m not interested several times, but he just won’t leave it alone! Feels dodgy to me - most likely some kind of scam.

Some bloke rang claiming to be a Home Energy Advisor from around here. I got suspicious right away since the phone number wasn’t even local. He kept going on about how loft insulation needs a check for damp every 4 to 5 years. Apparently, there’s been some reports nearby about moisture in fibreglass insulation. When I told him I get loads of calls like this, that I’ve already checked my roof myself and didn’t need any inspection, he just hung up on me straight away! Felt like a total con.
