I saw there'd been two calls from this number but I don’t pick up if I don't know who's ringing. Checked my voicemail after and, not surprsingly, there was no message left. It really bugs me how they managed to get hold of my number since I'm ex directory.

I've been inundated with calls from this number and others that are quite similar over the past week-it's been a total of 12 calls so far! Each time I manage to block one, they promptly switch it up by altering the last three digits. They're definitely not genuine energy advisors from our area; they seem to be after a quick con, likely riding the wave of the recent green movement. To make matters worse, registering with the Telephone Preference Service feels utterly pointless, as they seem to have little regard for the rules.

Just like the rest, the final three digits keep changing. Up till now, it’s claimed to be linked to solar energy or Openreach. The Telephone Preference Service doesn’t seem to bother, though. They informed me that the number’s being misused to impersonate other companies, but since they can only address legitimate businesses, they’ll throw it in their monthly report yet can’t take any real action. It’s ringing at least three times a day, and I’m genuinely thinking about disconnecting it. This has only cropped up in the last month, and I hardly ever use that number, so I’m baffled as to how they got hold of it.
