When I asked it to repeat itself by saying "Could you say that again?", it just kept going over the same thing. I keep getting calls from numbers that look almost the same as this one. It’s always a bloke speaking, but he changes his name every time. The chat’s usually about things like loft insulation or an energy check. Seems like they play some pre-recorded stuff with pauses in between, probably ‘cause I don’t say anything. Normally, I just put it on speaker and leave the phone down. The calls drag on with quiet bits here and there for a few minutes. Then out of nowhere, a woman’s voice pops up saying something like ‘sorry, all our lines are busy.’ After about three minutes, the call just hangs up. It’s a proper nuisance!

Loads of times I’ve had calls from a Bournemouth 01202 number, usually some sales person banging on about loft insulation with a recorded spiel. If I’m not in a rush and feeling a bit cheeky, I’ll let them carry on for a bit, then randomly jump in with a “hello?” and ask them to repeat what they just said - they normally have to ring back or get flustered. It’s my little way of returning the favour since they waste my time. Other occasions I just pick up, say nothing and let them ramble away on the phone for a while. Hanging up straight away isn’t my style, as it just means they get through to the next person quicker.
