Curiously, when I asked him to repeat that, he'd regurgitate the same spiel or a snippet of it. I had the peculiar pleasure of hearing the message repeated a whopping nine times before he finally conceded with a cheery, "Alright then, thanks for your time!" Quite the amusing experience, to say the least!

I've received numerous calls from various versions of this number. It's always a chap on the line, albeit going by different names each time. The topics they mention revolve around damp loft insulation or energy assessments and whatnot. I suspect they're relying on some sort of pre-recorded messages, as I never engage. Normally, I just set my phone on loudspeaker and leave it on the table. The calls still persist, with occasional long pauses in between. Eventually, a woman’s voice chimes in, apologising that 'all our lines are busy', and after about three minutes, it disconnects. Quite a nuisance, really!

When I'm in the right frame of mind, I like to engage a bit-I'll let them ramble for a minute, then chime in with a casual "Hello" and request they repeat what they just said. It’s amusing to see them stumble as they have to reconnect. If I'm feeling less chatty, I simply let them prattle on while I set the phone down, leaving them to speak to thin air for a while. I hardly ever hang up immediately, as that just gives them an opportunity to move on to another unsuspecting victim too quickly.
