I've come across another dodgy number linked to a chap calling himself 'Chris', who insists he’s your neighbourhood energy advisor (yes, that's right, even if you’re nowhere near him!). He’s incessantly trying to convince you that your home insulation is in dire need of attention. He always dials in from an 01202 code, but the last few digits seem to fluctuate every time, making it a right pain to block him. Seriously, steer clear of this guy! It’s clearly a con, otherwise, why would he bother swapping numbers every single day?

Got a silent call at about 10:57 on Tuesday, 2nd Nov 2021. Don’t ever answer ‘yes’ if they ask over the phone, or they might use your voice to open accounts and commit fraud. If you have to respond, say something like ‘affirmative’, like Spock from Star Trek, when dealing with unknown callers or automated systems. Definitely avoid saying ‘yes’ - these crooks could trade your ‘yes’ to others looking to scam you.

It's Chris from Bournemouth again, and it's becoming quite the saga! This is the fourth time he's reached out to me about loft insulation, each time from a different number, mind you. He claims he's in the neighbourhood-quite the globe-trotter if you ask me! He keeps mentioning that ‘all my neighbours’ have had their surveys done, and apparently, we’re among the last holdouts. When he inquired about my age group, I cheekily said I was over 80 (not quite, I'm actually three decades younger), and poof! He hung up on me. Rather peculiar, isn't it? I can't quite figure out if he’s genuinely trying to sell something or if he's just on some sort of power trip. Either way, he’s certainly a curious character!
