Got a call earlier today from someone saying they represented a loft insulation firm. They started off with some scare tactics about how my current insulation might be causing dampness and condensation in the house. Then, they offered a 'free' survey (which they said usually costs £70 - lucky me!) but only if you're aged between 50 and 75. They really pushed hard to get me to agree. When I said no thanks, at least they were polite enough to say goodbye properly.

About two days back, i got a call from basically the exact same number just swapped the last two digits from .064 to .054, classic scam move. They obviously tried the second number since I blocked the first one. Bet the next call will be from something like .074. Quite cheeky if you ask me.

On the 2nd of November 2021, I received a rather peculiar call. The individual on the other end inquired if they were speaking with the property owner and rather hurriedly mentioned something about a 'green' energy firm. They failed to clarify who they were. Intriguingly, they called my business line earlier in the day and then rang my unlisted number later that afternoon. Quite the mystery!

Honestly, that’s a dead giveaway he’s up to no good, total scam if you ask me!

He kicked off with the usual chit-chat, asking how my day was going. I just said, "Can you cut to the chase and tell me what you want?" Then everything went quiet on their end. They didn’t bother calling back, which is fine by me. It’s really best to make it clear straight away that you’re not some easy target for their sales pitch, no matter if you’re interested or not.

It’s so annoying, this bloke Alex who says he’s an ‘energy advisor’ keeps ringing me daily. I’ve told him loads of times I’m not interested and to stop, but he just won’t quit. I’m on the TPS list too, but it clearly doesn’t help at all. Virgin Media doesn’t have a way for me to block his number either, which is rubbish. Now I just hang up the moment I hear that tiny pause before someone speaks. Honestly, good luck getting rid of these pests because they just keep coming back no matter what you do.
