Got a call from someone saying they’re from the “UK Benefits Office”. Pretty sure it’s a scam. Feels like they’ve got my info through dodgy means, probably breaking the UK’s GDPR rules on data protection.

Got a call from someone saying they're from the "IK benefits office" and that my life insurance hasn't been checked in a while. They wanted to know how much I was paying now. I tried to be nice and said I wasn't comfortable sharing that info. Then they went, "It's alright madam, you can trust me." That was enough for me to hang up.
