I told her straight up that wasn’t the case and that she was just cold calling, which isn’t proper. I wasn’t having any of it and told him straight up we’re on the Telephone Preference Service, so he had no right to call. He hung up after that. But then, unbelievably, the same bloke rings again this morning around 10.30am. I told him, “John, you’re such a pain - I’m definitely reporting you,” and I mean it. I’m also going to try and get this number blocked. What a nuisance!

I got a call from a very polite woman discussing insurance and trying to switch my mum over to another department. I calmly asked her to stop ringing and requested that they send any info in writing instead. Despite that, they've been calling me at least a couple of times every day now.

They call themselves Direct Repairs, and they've switched their phone number from the old 0208 one. I've told them to leave me alone like four times now, but John just stuck to his script and ignored everything I said. He kept talking about changing the T&Cs of our contract, which isn't even a thing. Complete nonsense!

I received a rather convincing automated message from a female voice, claiming that I was overpaying for my plumbing and drainage insurance. She mentioned that, since I hadn’t filed a claim in over two years, she could significantly reduce my costs. Shortly after, I was put through to a live representative who insisted this wasn't just another robocall. The agent identified themselves as being from HOMESERVE and proposed slashing my monthly payment from £25 to £12.50, while suggesting I should anticipate a follow-up call. However, upon investigation, I've discovered I don’t even hold a policy with HOMESERVE. Complete and utter scam!
