In just a couple of hours this morning, we got three calls from 01165000203 - at 8:04am, 8:20am, and then again at 10:18am. The first time, nobody said a word and hung up almost straight away. On the second try, a woman was on the line asking for a Mr Simons, but we told her no one here goes by that name. Last one was at 10:18, my wife picked up and it was a bloke this time. When she asked what the call was about, he didn’t really answer and we told him not to bother ringing back. Honestly, how long will it take for these people to realise endless calls like this aren’t welcome?

This is a proper dangerous scam, they start off slow by just hanging up on you, making it seem harmless and legit. Then once they got some info, they begin asking more questions to put together a detailed profile about you. The whole point is to scam you out of your money, especially targeting older folks who are more at risk. It’s honestly vile the way these people operate.
