Had a couple of calls from this number and 01165000201 recently. The bloke, sounded Indian and said his name was 'Sam' working for Telephone Preference Service or something like that. The first time, he was trying to sell some sort of call blocking software. He didn’t take too well when I mentioned the TPS and asked him to take my number off his list. He even said he was in the UK, somewhere in the West Midlands, which seemed a bit dodgy to me!

Dead silence, then a bit of fidgeting and they just hang up. They’ve got my number saved now, and I tell them how their mum’s heartbroken and ashamed because of the rubbish scam they’re running, it’s really messed the family up. Somehow they get all bothered, which I can’t work out why? If they ring again, they’ll get the exact same back, annoy me and I’ll annoy them right back.

Got a call from a lady with a strong Indian accent saying she was from Amazon Security and wanted to confirm if I’d bought an iPhone. I had my Amazon account open at the same time and told her straight up there was no order for an iPhone. Then I asked her where she got my number from and which company she was representing. She just ended the call right there.

Some bloke said he was from Amazon and that I’d ordered a pricey iPhone. He told me to download some app. I acted clueless for a few minutes like I didn’t have a clue what an app was, then he started shouting about me needing to go to the App Store. He asked what phone I had, so I told him a Nokia 6310. He got annoyed, said he’d fix it from his side, then just slammed the phone down on me. Lovely chap.

The last time I answered, even though I stayed calm and polite, the guy who said his name was Mike suddenly started using really filthy and creepy sexual words. Honestly, it was disgusting. Got a call from someone pretending to be from some kind of online shopping service, mentioned an iPhone and told me to sit by my computer. When I said I didn’t have an account with them, they just hung up. After watching a few scam bait videos on YouTube, I realised it was a total con. Never, ever allow anyone to connect to your PC - they can install stuff to control your machine without you noticing, nicking passwords and cash. Don’t ever install TeamViewer, Supremo or any remote access programs unless you really trust who’s asking.

Got a call from this number claiming I had to approve a £999 payment to Amazon. I was certain I hadn’t made any purchase that big, so I checked my Amazon account and everything looked fine. Felt dodgy, especially as they wanted me to follow a menu that probably would’ve asked for my bank info later on. Pretty risky call if you ask me.

Got a couple of calls recently sayin someone was tryin to buy an iPhone with my account. I said I'd ring up Amazon myself to sort it out. The caller said fine and said they'd leave it. I've blocked the number now.

Received a dodgy call from someone pretending to be 'Amazon' on a landline I hardly ever touch. Quite puzzling, to say the least!

Got a call from 011665000200 claiming they’re Amazon. They said someone’s trying to order an i7 phone using my account and asked if I wanted to stop or go ahead with the purchase. Bit fishy if you ask me.

So these people rang me about my internet acting up or something like that. I messed around with them for a while, then just straight up asked if they really took me for a fool. Ended up calling them daft before hanging up, lol.
