Had a rather peculiar phone call from an Asian chap claiming to be a long-lost mate of mine. It was all rather oddly suspicious-definitely feels like a scam to me.

Got a weird ring at half past eight this morning, maybe they’re up early or it’s late night somewhere else, like some call centre overseas. A guy with an Asian accent called, sounded a bit too cheerful, like he knew me already. Said it’d be a quick chat, just 30 seconds. Turns out it really was quick - call cut out right after he mentioned the company’s name, no clue what he actually wanted. Bit odd if you ask me.

It's oddly unsettling how much they seem to know. Initially, they rang me from a no caller ID, and then followed up with this number: 0116 500 0205. I’d advise against engaging with them.

Most likely just some cold caller or a scam trying to get through. I had a missed call from this number today but didn’t pick up. They never left any voicemail. When I tried ringing back, the call cut off straightaway! Over the last year I’ve had loads of dodgy calls starting with 0116 on my landline, but this is the first time on my mobile. None of my mates or family have an 0116 number anyway. A quick google run says these are Leicester numbers that scammers often use.

Received a call from someone who had an Indian accent claiming to be “Shaun.” Quite the coincidence, isn’t it? When I inquired about his identity, he abruptly ended the call. It’s likely a dodgy scammer trying his luck.

this number won't stop ringing me even tho I'm signed up to the tps. Makes me wonder, is tps even worth it? whenever they call, they hear an automated message saying my number is protected by call guardian and then they just give up and hang up. I don't think they get that they're already blocked or summat.
